Arab FMs welcome Kuwaiti initiative to host E. Sudan donors'' conf.

CAIRO, March 2 (KUNA) -- Arab foreign ministers welcomed where on Wednesday Kuwaiti initiative to host the international donors' conference for East Sudan in early December.
Wrapping up the 135th session of their council, the ministers hailed the commitment of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to bolster up the post-conflict economic recovery in the region.
The ministerial council approved the draft resolutions, raised in an earlier meeting of permanent envoys.
The resolutions underline that just and comprehensive peace in the region shall only be achieved through the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian and Arab lands.
The minister s renewed condemnation of all forms of Jewish settlement expansions in the occupied Palestinian territories, while backing the efforts aiming to establish of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministerial council also called on the UN Security Council to carry out its role in solving the Arab-Israeli conflict and achieve comprehensive peace in the region according to a two-state solution.
