Haitian president appreciates Iran's help to his country
Tehran, March 6, IRNA – Haitian President Rene Preval appreciated Iran's food and medical help to his earthquake-stricken people and thanked Iranian government and nation for the sympathy they showed with his people.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Saturday evening, President Preval made the remark in a ceremony to receive Iran's new ambassador's credentials.
The president called for expansion of ties between the two countries, especially in the fields of technology and economy.
He also expressed his country's satisfaction over Iran-made tractors and welcomed presence of Iranian investors, businessmen and industrialists in Haitian economic plans./end
