Caucasus Ensemble holds concert in USA
Baku, March 9 (AzerTAc). The Caucasus Composers Continuum Ensemble held a concert in the Smithsonian Freer Gallery of Art in USA. The Karabakh Foundation sponsored the event.
The Executive Director of the Karabakh Foundation Diana Altman told AzerTAc about the main aim of the concert. Recognizing the importance of peace and development in the Caucasus, and particularly in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, the Karabakh Foundation decided to co-sponsor and promote this exceptional performance.
The compositions by Firangiz Alizadeh and Oleg Ferzel were performed in the concert.
The Karabakh Foundation plans to arrange two more concerts during March.
The New York-based ensemble performs compositions from throughout the Caucasus and surrounding region, including works by noted composers of Azerbaijani, Georgian, and other backgrounds.
