Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque library adds 300 books for children and youth

Abu Dhabi, March 10, 2011 (WAM) - The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre’s library has added 300 books of children in various scientific and knowledge disciplines within the framework of the Centre’s efforts to educate children at different ages, especially school students, as well as develop their skills and provide them with new books in various fields.
The books that library was keen on acquiring in both Arabic and English, include mathematics, science, chemistry and literature. It also includes a set of encyclopaedias and specialised references in addition to a collection of stories and novels translated from English, French and Spanish literature.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque library, which was opened in November 2010 and has more than 5,000 books, journals and literary items, is keen on developing its information sources and providing places for reading and education. The library's material mainly covers journals, research studies and manuscripts pertaining to Islam, Islamic architecture, science and arts. It should be mentioned that The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, is being followed up by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
