US official visits Baku State University
Baku, March 12 (AzerTAc). U.S. Science envoy, president of Lehigh University Dr. Alice Gast visited Baku State University where she met Rector Abel Maharramov. The sides discussed the cooperation between the universities and exchanged views on contracts which would be signed in future.
Mr. Gast also participated in opening ceremony of WI FI zone in University`s library financing by US`s USAID (United State Agency İnternational Development) and IREX (International Research and Exchanges Board).
Opening the ceremony, Abel Maharramov highlighted the visit of Ms. Gast and informed the guest on the BSU`s activity and international relations.
In her turn, Ms. Gast touched upon the progress in information area, her current visit to Baku State University, participation in the opening of WI FI with support of US and other issues.
