Old newspaper featuring 31 March genocide found
Baku (AzerTAc) - The “Gardash Gaygisi” newspaper, which highlighted 31 March genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis in early 20th century, has been found.
The newspaper was published on November 12, 1918 in Tbilisi.
The paper published in Russian and Azerbaijani in Arab script told of the Armenian atrocities in Baku and Shamakhy.
The articles, which will be collected in a form of book, narrated on setting on fire Ismailiyye building, Tezepir mosque, offices of Kaspi and Acig Soz newspapers, destruction of publishing house of Orujov brothers, killing of Azerbaijani intellectuals, death of Abbas Sahhat.
