Iranian minister arrives in Kabul
Kabul, March 13, IRNA, -- Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini arrived in Kabul on Sunday morning to attend the ministerial meeting of ECO member countries.
He will also inaugurate Iran, Afghanistan Friendship Exhibition in Kabul.
Meeting of culture ministers of ECO member countries begins from Monday in Kabul while second Iran-Afghanistan Friendship Exhibition starts its work on Sunday and continues for a week.
Iran's cultural attaché in Kabul Nasser Jahanshahi told IRNA that 90 percent of the products displayed in the exhibition are books and over 100 Iranian and Afghan publishers are attending the cultural events.
He said other cultural products such as handicrafts and books for children and young adults will be displayed, too.
'Strengthening cultural ties between Persian speaking countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan is among the aims of the exhibition,' Jahanshahi said./end
