Salehi talks with OIC Sec Gen on Bahrain crisis

Tehran, March 15, IRNA – Iran's FM Ali Akbar Salehi in a phone talk Monday night with OIC Secretary-Geneneral asked for that organization’s potentials to prevent occurrence of more brutalities in Bahrain against civilians.
According to the Information and Media Head Office of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Salehi, in his talks with the Organization of Islamic Countries Chief, Ekmeleddin Ihsanuglu reviewed the recent Middle East brutalities, particularly the aggressions against the people in Bahrain and the intervention of some Persian Gulf countries’ security forces there.
Salehi appreciated the efforts made by the OIC Chief, asking for taking full advantage of that organization’s capacities for putting an end to the unleashed brutalities against the people in Bahrain.
Expressing deep concern regarding the intensification of the aggressive moves there, he stressed the need for observation of self restrain and adopting peaceful methods.
OIC Secretary General Ihsanuglu, too, in the phone talks expressing worry about the ongoing situation in Bahrain, emphasized that the OIC would continue its efforts aimed at solving that crisis./end
