Azerbaijan injects oil revenues into development of infrastructure, Azeri Speaker

Baku, March 16 (AzerTAc). The Government of Azerbaijan diverts oil revenues to diversification of the non-energy sector and its development based on advanced technologies and to bringing the country`s infrastructure in line with modern standards, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov said in his speech at the parliament.
Asadov pointed out the real growth of the non-oil sector made up 7.9% last year and accounted for 44.4% of GDP.
Azerbaijan currently carries out USD 28 bln worth of foreign trade transactions with 147 countries.
