Bahrain''s security forces disperse protesters at key facilities
MANAMA, March 16 (KUNA) -- The Bahraini Public Security and National Guard forces, backed by units from the Defense Forces, started Wednesday dispersing protesters staging sit-ins at the Gulf Cooperation Council square, Al-Salmaniya hospital and Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH).
"The outlaws terrorized citizens and residents, and harmed the country's national economy," the General Command of the Bahraini Defense Force said in a statement here.
The operation initiated according to plan and was executed with great care and high efficiency, taking into account the safety of all, according to the statement.
The command will continue to take all necessary measures and procedures necessary to establish security and public order and to preserve the homeland and citizens from all dangers, it added.
The command also called on all citizens and residents alike to take precautionary measures and not be near unrest zones and in vital installation areas.
