Us-Azeris network organizes congressional outreach event
Baku, March 17 (AzerTAc). The US-Azeris Network (USAN) has organized a congressional outreach and education event in the US congress.
The holiday event organized by the Azerbaijani Diaspora drew US famous politicians, congressmen and diplomats accredited in Washington.
Congressmen including Republican from Ohio and incumbent Speaker John Boehner, Senator Bob Manchin, congressmen Dan Burton, Phil Gingrey and others.
The participants learnt about the work and achievements of the US Azeris Network (USAN), which includes greater political education and awareness by the Azerbaijani-American community, greater contacts with the federal and state elected officials.
Articles about Khojaly massacre, occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia published by the US press and the historic, first-ever resolution about Azerbaijani-Americans, the HR 220 in the Texas House of Representatives were shown to the Congressional leaders.
