Kyrgyzstan celebrates Novruz holiday
Baku (AzerTAc) - Azerbaijan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan organized a festivity on Novruz holiday in Bishkek.
Leadership of Kyrgyzstan`s parliament- Jogorku Kenesh, deputies, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of foreign embassies and international organizations in Bishkek, members of Azeri Diaspora and journalists attended the celebration.
Addresing the ceremony, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Arif Agayev informed participants on the history of Novruz holiday. He highlighted United Nations General Assembly recognized March 21 as International Novruz Day throughout the world. Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, India and Macedonia are the authors of this project.
Bishkek Mayor Isa Omurkhulov, Turkish, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan Ambassadors Nicat Akcal, Beybit Isabaev and Asamuddin Saidov, charge d'affaires of Uzbekistan Rahmatulla Nazarov congratulated Azerbaijanis on Novruz holiday.
The festivity featured concert of Azerbaijani national music.
