Azeri specialists attend workshop on disaster risk reduction in Istanbul
Baku, March 18 (AzerTAc). A cohort of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations employees participated in a regional workshop on knowledge management for disaster risk reduction in education organized by the European Commission and UNICEF in Istanbul on March 15-17.
According to Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations, the workshop addressed the progress achieved under the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid department`s (DIPECHO) “Supporting Disaster Risk Reduction amongst Vulnerable Communities and Institutions” project implemented in Central Asia and South Caucasus.
Representatives from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan also took part in the workshop.
The participants discussed different aspects of disaster risk reduction.
