Italy marks Novruz holiday
Baku, March 19 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan Embassy to Italy organized a holiday reception in Milan, Italy.
The event held in “Milan Marriot” hotel brought together community in Milan and Lombardia, representatives of Diplomatic Corps, members of Azerbaijan Diaspora and others, Azerbaijan Embassy in Italy said.
Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov greeted the guests and informed them on Novruz holiday`s traditions. He stressed the United Nations General Assembly recognized March 21 as International Novruz Day throughout the world and the holiday was enlisted into the UNESCO world intangible cultural heritage.
The ceremony featured mugham trio concert and performance of Azeri national dance organized by Azerbaijan Ministry of
Culture and Tourism, and short documentary and booklets about Azerbaijan.
