Azerbaijan, Surinam discuss cooperation prospects

Baku, March 19 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Agshin Mehdiyev paid an official visit to Surinam on March 17-18.
Mehdiyev met with Surinam`s Foreign Minister Winston Lackin on Friday, Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations said.
The Azeri Ambassador touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, noting that his country regards that the conflict should be settled on the basis of the norms and principles of international law.
The sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation prospects on political, economic, education, culture and other spheres, stressing importance to extend relations.
