Baku Mugham contest closes with performance of Azeri and Iranian musicians
Baku, March 20 (AzerTAc). The last day of the 2nd International Mugham Contest saw the joint performance by Azerbaijani and Iranian musicians. Azerbaijan`s Fargana Gasymova performed Mahur mugham destgah, while Ehtiram Huseynov performed a mugham and folk music composition.
The concert also featured the performance by Iran`s Sepehr, Raha and Mugham ensembles.
The contest`s jury panel includes Azerbaijan People`s Artists Siyavush Karimi, Ramiz Zohrabov, Arif Babayev, representative of UNESCO, professor of the Paris National Centre for Scientific Researches Jean Duhring, Turkish music critic Ozan Yarman, American scientist William Samith and Iranian composer Ehsan Khezrlou.
