Azeri consul speaks at Los Angeles Synagogue
Los Angeles, March 25 (AzerTAc). Consul General of Azerbaijan to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov addressed the service at the University Synagogue here to provide insight into ancient tolerance tradition and culture of the Azerbaijani society.
He touched upon friendly ties between Azerbaijani and Jewish peoples as well as between Republic of Azerbaijan and Israel. The participants, in particular, learnt about the Jewish community`s contribution to development of Azerbaijan and conditions created by the government of Azerbaijan for preserving unique Jewish culture and traditions.
For his part, rabbi of the synagogue Morley Feinstein thanked the government of Azerbaijan and told of the rich history of Azerbaijan`s Jews and geopolitical importance of the country.
