UN Human Rights Council Advisory Committee`s member from Azerbaijan approved for second term

Baku, March 26 (AzerTAc). The United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) Advisory Committee`s member from Azerbaijan Latif Huseynov has been approved for a second term.
Huseynov`s candidacy was approved at the 16th session of the HRC, according to the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN Office in Geneva.
Huseynov, whose candidacy was put forward by the Azerbaijani government, heads the Milli Majlis Administration`s Department for Legislation on State Building.
The HRC Advisory Committee consists of 18 members and has been operating since 2008. The Azerbaijani candidate was elected to the HRC Advisory Committee for a period of 3 years for the first time in 2008.
Huseynov has been actively involved in the preparation of studies and reports of the Advisory Committee and was appointed a rapporteur on the report "Positive experience on missing persons" prepared by the Committee.
