New graduates urged to pay all efforts for national development
(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh has urged all new graduates who finished their education at the National University during 2007-2008 period to pay all their contributions and efforts for national development.
Prime Minister Bouasone who chaired the ceremony to present the certificates to new graduates organised yesterday at Dong Dok campus also said that the high education is the main tool for national development, which all countries in the world has produced development strategy in accordance with education development strategy.
He said the Lao PDR has set the educational strategy from now to 2020 in order to address the poverty for all ethnic group people and to bring the country out of the list of least developed countries. He continued that the main factor to reach the said goal is human resources.
On this occasion, PM Bouasone also expressed congratulations to all educational workers for their contributions to build the human resources for the nation.
The students who finished their education in 2007-2008 period were the 8th group of the National University of Laos. The university has offered this year master degree for 98 people, of which 16 women, bachelor degree for 3,655 people, of which 1,418 women and high diploma for 1,105 people.
