Kuwait FM visits Kuwaiti Navy Force in Bahrain

MANAMA, April 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah stressed here Tuesday the important role played by Kuwaiti navy troops working within the Peninsula Shield force in protecting Bahrain and the unity of the Arab Gulf society.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabah conveyed, during his visit to Kuwaiti navy force, the greetings to all of the force's members from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammad said in his address, "it gives me great honor to be with you today as you are the protecters of our country , the protecters of honor and the national dignity." He added that "every Kuwaiti takes pride in seeing his sons responding to the call of duty, and you repeatedly proved that whoever entertains evil toward Kuwait, or toward our region, then you are up to take up the mission, and you are the true sons of Kuwait." Further, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad expressed the pride of Kuwaitis in the tasks carried out by the force's members, adding that, "we are proud of the mission that you are carrying out, and that your message is a simple one, a message of peace and safety, though whoever harbors evil to our country, its people, and its cultural heritage, so we will stand up for our principles." He added, "you proved once and again that you can impart the true meaning of loyality and sacrifice for the sake of our homeland to people and the world as a whole, so we congratulate you on this as you made us hold our heads high, and all Kuwaiti people take pride in the tasks which you are carrying out." Sheikh Dr. Mohammad went on to say, "we are in this good land, land of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which we greatly cherish, and we recall how such place welcomed us when the unjust Iraqi invasion happened, and when we were at a very bad situation." He added, "but you did not give in your weapons, and did not give up your duties, and rose up united like a single robust man to rebuild your strength, and go ahead from this good land and auspicious territorial waters of Bahrain, and with the support lent by our Bahraini brothers to liberate our country." Then, he said, "such is the faithfulness for which your are famous people of Kuwait, and it is impossible to forget to return the favor for anyone who was faithful to us," adding, "we will remain grateful as long as we live to our folk not only in Bahrain, but in all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states as a whole." He concluded by saying, "you are the protecting shield, the Peninsula Shield, and your participation while th e flag of Kuwait is fluttering high reiterates that Kuwaitis are people of faithfulness, and do not forget the favor accorded to them, and whoever does a favor to us, then we remain grateful to him as long as we live." Finally, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad prayed God the Almighty to bestow blessings upon members of the Kuwaiti marine force, and, "to protect our country, Amir, and the GCC as a whole."
