Norwegian Music Band Performs in Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Norwegian 'Scrook' ensemble performed at the 7th Iranian Folk Music Festival on Monday night.
Norway's 40-member Scrook chorus musical troupe, conducted by Pradoire Hildred, performed some pieces on 3rd night of the festival at Tehran's Vahdat Hall, Monday.

The Norwegian troupe whose piano player is Turd Gustafson played a number of folkloric piece of the Scandinavian region, as well as some Iranian folkloric pieces in English, and Norwegian.

Kerman and Tehran are hosting the festival after a seven-year hiatus and the music ensembles that participated at the festival performed music of their region throughout the cities' squares.

The opening ceremony of the festival was held on Saturday morning in Kerman. Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamidreza Shahabadi, the General Director of the Office of Kerman Culture Ministry Ahmad Saeidi and several other officials attended the event.
