The seminar was held at the Kuwaiti ambassador's residence in cooperation with Singapore Institute of International Affairs, one of the most important centers dedicated to the research, analysis and discussion of regional and international political issues.
In a phone call on Tuseday, Al-Adwani told KUNA that the seminar was attended by a number of heads of Singapore firms, academics and media figures that were specialized in the study and the follow-up of the Middle East developments.
He added that the discussions focused on the fast-changing circumstances in the Middle East region as an attempt to understand the affecting factors and its impacts on investments.
"Many of the businessmen expressed their concern over instability in the region which would negatively affect their companies' investments; investments that amount to USD 20 billion," the Kuwait envoy pointed out.
He further explained that this concern was a result of high cost of the raw materials, high insurance fees and shortage of skilled labor.
Participants in the seminar expressed hope that "an attractive environment for investments based on transparency and corruption-free" would be the outcome of such developments in the region.
