Director General of the Executive Bureau of GCC Health Ministers Dr. Tawfiq Khojah told KUNA the Saudi leadership shows all due care to develop the health care sector and the level of service is an example in the Gulf region and also on international level. Recent development plans brought along new pledges in this respect, including expansion of specialized health care facilities, establishment of new care centers, and expanding services and residenti al facilities in health zones and medical cities across the kingdom.
On GCC level, King Abdullah had ordered the construction of a medical city under the administration of the Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain as a contribution to development of medical education and research in the GCC region.
The King, also continually and always supports the initiatives and efforts of the health ministers' bureau, the official noted, and focuses care on the priorities agreed to among the GCC health authorities, including construction of a GCC health database.
