Azerbaijan, Sweden enjoy high-level political dialogue, Swedish FM
Baku, June 13 (AzerTAc). Speaking in the meeting with Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Carl Bildt said Azerbaijan and Sweden enjoy high-level political dialogue.
The parties discussed present day situation of bilateral relations.
The Azeri foreign minister briefed Swedish counterpart on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and gave detailed information about current negotiation process.
Mammadyarov noted importance of expanding cooperation between two countries in various spheres. He underlined the significance of the activity of Swedish companies in Azerbaijan.
In his turn, Swedish foreign minister said great opportunities exist for development of bilateral economic and trade ties and highlighted the importance of expanding relations framework of international organizations, as well.
Bildt also touched on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, noting his country supports negotiation process.
Swedish minister praised the Association Agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan, stressing the agreement would contribute for the development in Azerbaijan.
