Azerbaijani representatives attends Congress on Active Cultural Participation in Europe
Baku, June 17 (AzerTAc). Representative of Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Ministry Yashar Huseynli attended the10th Assembly of Compendium Experts and Congress on Active Cultural Participation in Europe.
The event co-organized by the Council of Europe (CoE), European Institute for Comparative Cultural Research (ERICarts) and Belgian government.
The three-day congress has brought together representatives of CoE, ERICarts, AMATEO - European Network, International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA), European Cultural Foundation, and other organizations, as well as national compendium authors from Azerbaijan, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Armenia, Finland, Holland, Croatia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Greece.
A one-day assembly of national authors titled “Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends in Europe” addresses cultural policy and research issues of importance for the maintenance and further development of this leading Internet information system covering 45 countries.
During the congress on Active Cultural Participation in Europe, the participants discussed the opportunity to join forces with scientific and cultural partners to explore issues around the active cultural participation of different groups of the population in all parts of Europe and related policies, including but not limited to arts education; socio-cultural programmes for different generations and other target groups; integration policies. As well, strategies regarding the collection and interpretation of comparative data will be discussed with the aim of facilitating future pan-European research efforts in this domain and of improving the content of the Compendium information system, which is a main contributor to the Council of Europe's Culture Watch Europe Platform.
