Russia`s Duma ratifies border agreement with Azerbaijan
Moscow, June 18 (AzerTAc). The Russian State Duma has ratified an agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia on the state borders.
This issue was discussed at the Russian parliament`s plenary session, and the document was ratified with 313 deputies voting for and 63 against its approval.
Russia`s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs and Relations with Compatriots Alexei Ostrovsky made remarks at the ceremony.
The agreement was signed in Baku last September.
Russia is the first country with which Azerbaijan has signed an agreement on the state border.
The border land between Russia and Azerbaijan is 284 km.
