Coca Cola to sponsor U-13 football league and Schoolchildren`s Cup in Azerbaijan
Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and Coca-Cola Bottlers Ltd. have signed an agreement under which Coca Cola will sponsor the Under-13 league and Schoolchildren`s Cup in the country.
The 5-year contract will see Coca Cola invest $1,075,000 in AFFA`s projects.
“It is encouraging that influential companies have been paying attention to football development recently,” AFFA`s Secretary General Elkhan Mammadov said. “I believe that the deal signed will yield fruits. The fact that our deal covers U-13 League and Cup of Schoolchildren is of special significance given that in terms of football development these projects occupy an important place in domestic football.”
“We are glad to be able to become part of Azerbaijani football and help raise the stars of Azerbaijani and world football,” said general manager of the Coca Cola Company Lisani Atasayan. “As part of our agreement, we will help develop football in not only Baku but also the regions”.
