‘Official Tehran supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity’
Baku, July 2 (AzerTAc). “Official Tehran regards that the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict must be settled on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and by peaceful means. Azerbaijan is an important friend and partner for Iran,” Speaker of Iran`s Islamic Consultative Assembly Ali Larijani said at a press-conference Saturday in Baku.
The Iranian Speaker noted the purpose of the visit was to conduct consultations on expansion of relations between the two countries` legislative bodies.
Larijani said he held fruitful meetings in Baku during which the discussions focused on cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other spheres.
Larijani praised the meetings of Iranian, Azerbaijani and Turkish parliamentary speakers, adding they will contribute to solution of some problems.
He also thanked the Azerbaijani President and other officials for the hospitality.
