President Ilham Aliyev receives Speaker of Kyrgyzstan`s parliament

Baku, July 4 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by Speaker of Kyrgyzstan`s parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov.
The Head of State said the visit of the Speaker of Kyrgyzstan`s parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov to Azerbaijan would be a good opportunity to discuss bilateral relations between the countries in all fields and define future development of cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the Kyrgyz Speaker`s participation in the 3rd Congress of World Azerbaijanis.
The President underlined the event became traditional.
The Head of State stressed the importance of holding a meeting of diaspora organizations of Azerbaijanis of the world in Baku every five years.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
The President recalled meetings with Kyrgyzstan`s top officials, adding they discussed bilateral and regional issues during these meetings.
President Ilham Aliyev said the bilateral interparliamentary cooperation had entered a new stage with the founding of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries.
The Head of State underscored the two countries` parliaments had active cooperation within the Assembly.
President Ilham Aliyev said the visit of Akhmatbek Keldibekov to Azerbaijan would contribute to expanding bilateral cooperation.
Keldibekov expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan. He thanked the Azerbaijani leader for conferring the “Friendship” order upon Kyrgyz writer and thinker Chingiz Aytmatov.
The Kyrgyz Speaker said Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in great respect among the people of Kyrgyzstan.
Keldibekov said there were great opportunities to develop the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations, in particular expand the interparliamentary cooperation.
