Kuwait's youth, sports center in Thailand to support Muslim minority
KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti center for youth and sport in Thailand is one of numerous grants by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah toward supporting Muslim minorities worldwide, a Kuwaiti official said on Tuesday.
Mahmoud Al-Fuzai, member of the committee to follow up the establishment of the center, added that Kuwait is well-known for such projects thanks to the Amir's ongoing support.
Fuzai, also members of the board of trustees of the Social Welfare Society, voiced hope that this center would achieve its goals and serve the Thai society in general, and Muslims in this Asian country specifically.
Fuzai also thanked Kuwait's ambassador in Thailand Abdullatif Al-Mawwash and his staff, as well as high-ranking go vernment officials for their efforts in bringing this project.
