H.H. Kuwaiti PM concludes GCC tour

KUWAIT, July 9 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) tour which His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah initiated on July 4, and ended on July 9 has led to several positive results.
Such good outcomes have reflected the deep-rooted bilateral ties between Kuwait and other GCC Arab states as well as the keenness of H.H. the Prime Minister on further cementing the brotherly ties, and pushing forward GCC cooparation toward a new high in various fields.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammad went on a six-day tour traveling among GCC five capitals and cities including Jeddah, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Manama, leading a big official delegation.
This tour comes within the keenness of Kuwait, represented by its leaders, and people, on consolidating the existing historic bonds between it and other GCC Arab states, along with cementing the common interets of GCC peoples, and as part of the constant meetings held among the GCC A rab states, and out of Kuwait's interest in the continual, and perpetual consultation with other GCC Arab states.
H.H. Sheikh Nasser started his tour with a visit to Saudi Arabia where he was received upon his arrival in Jeddah by Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Second Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Interior.
Then, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud received H.H. Sheikh Nasser, and discussed with him the various aspects of cooperation, and the ways of boosting them in various fields in what benefits the interests of two countries, and peoples, besides the progress of GCC joint action, and the overall developments on the Islamic and Arab stages.
H.H. Sheikh Nasser performed as well the Ummra, lesser pilgrimage, rites in Mecca, then he paid a visit to Al-Madinah, and performed prayers in the Prophet's Holy Mosque.
Then came the Omani capital city of Muscat as the second stop within H.H. the Prime Minsiter's to ur where H.H. was received upon his arrival there by Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahad Bin Mahmoud Al-Said.
Then, Sultan of Oman Qaboos Bin Said received H.H. the Prime Minister at Baraka House, and exchanged with him cordial talk, and discussed all aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, besides topics of mutual concern, and the latest developments at the Arab and international levels.
Folllowing the above-mentioned expanded meeting, H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister held a closed-door two-hour meeting with Sultan Qaboos.
The third stop within H.H. the Prime Minister's tour was the Emirati capital city of Abu Dhabi where he was received upon his arrival in Al-Ain international airport by Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Further, H.H. Sheikh Nasser met during the visit President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and reviewed with him the de ep-rooted ties binding the two countries and peoples, and discussed as well aspects of existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Additionally, the two sides mulled topics of mutual concern in light of the current developments on the Arab and international scenes.
The Qatari capital city of Doha was the fourth stop within H.H. the Prime Minister's tour, and he was received upon arriving there by State Minister for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani, then H.H. the Prime Minister met Deputy Amir, and the Crown Prince of Qatar, and reviewed with him the distinctive bilateral ties between the two countries, besides the GCC progress.
The meeting also tackled the latest developments on the regional, and international scenes, and the stances adopted by the two countries regarding them.
As for the last stop within the tour initiated by H.H. the Prime Minister in GCC states, it was the Bahraini capital city of Manama where he was r eceived upon his arrival there by Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
Then, H.H. Sheikh Nasser met the King of Bahrain Hamad Bin Issa Al-Khalifa, and exchanged with him cordial talk, and reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries under the GCC joint action, along with mulling regional and international conditions of mutual concern.
Further, H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister held a round of offficial talks with Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa under a cordial atmosphere dominated by candor and consensual opinion on issues of mutual concern, besides discussing regional and international issues, and the GCC stance on them which is always express the GCC single-mindedness.
Both H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, and his Bahraini counterpart held a one-hour closed-door meeting following the previous expanded meeting.
Then, H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister paid a visit to Durrat Al Bahrain Development Pro ject, which is one of the most important projects carried out within the investment portfolio of the Kuwait Finance House (KFH).
Further, H.H. the Prime Minister received during his Bahraini visit head, and members of the administrative board of the Kuwaiti Students Union in Bahrain, along with a number of Kuwaiti students in the Bahraini universities, and urged them to work hard in order to get the highest kind of certificates, and return home to take part in the development of their motherland.
The tour initiated by H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister in the GCC Arab states shed light on the noble goals upon which the GCC was established as well as the pan-Arab Gulf body's endeavors on achieving further unity and solidarity for the benefit of all GCC Arab states.
