Iran, Turkey willing to help Syria get out of crisis - Salehi

TEHRAN, July 10 (KUNA) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that Iran and Turkey were willing to help Syria resolve the current crisis.
In a statement carried by Iranian News Agency (IRNA) ahead of the imminent visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to Tehran, Salehi said Iran and Turkey were totally aware of Syria's role in the region.
"The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is visiting Iran to discuss with Iranian officials the recent political developments of the region, particularly Syria," he said.
He noted that if Syria as an important role-player in resistance is harmed, the entire resistance will be harmed.
"We hope that the problems of Syria will be resolved soon so that the legitimate demands of the people are met and also some will be prevented from abusing Syria's status quo that has been ccaused by foreign intervention," Saleh i added.
Davutoglu is scheduled to arrive in Tehran late Sunday. The Turkish foreign minister has visited Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya before departing for Tehran.
Meanwhile, the Iranian top diplomat denied any crisis between Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
"There is no prolems in the bilateral relations but Iran and Saudi Arabia have different views about the recent developments in the region," he said, denying any plans to visit Riyadh soon.
