Al-Sayer signs joint cooperation agreement with German state minister for health affairs

BERLIN, July 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer signed here Wednesday a cooperation agreement including the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, and its German counterpart, and covering various fields of bilateral medical cooperation.
Al-Sayer said, in an interview with KUNA, that this agreement, "includes the exchange of expertise in medical sciences, and organizing workshops between Kuwaiti doctors and their German counterparts along with bolstering cooperation among Kuwaiti universities and hospitals on one side, and their German counterparts on the other side." Al-Sayer added that the agreement, "includes decisions by their virtue the transfer of Kuwaiti doctors to German universities and hospitals will be facilitated." On rea son behind choosing Germany for such agreement, Al-Sayer said that Kuwait, "enjoys good ties in the medical field with other countries like Canada, US, France and UK, and not only Germany," though Germany is known for its peculiar progress in some medical fields, and consequently Kuwait wants to take advantage of such German expertise.
Further, he made clear that Kuwait seeks to make use of the German medical experience, particularly in the field of osteology, and neurosurgery.
