Sabail district executives meets delegation of Romania`s Democratic Liberal Party
Baku, July 15 (AzerTAc). Head of Sabail District Local Authorities Asif Asgarov has today met here with a delegation of Romania`s leading Democratic Liberal Party led by Mayor of Bucharest`s Sector 2 and vice-president of Romanian Municipalities Association Nekulay Ontsanu.
Asgarov recalled that Ontsanu was appointed as an honorary citizen of the Sabail District in 2006. He briefed the guest on construction and landscaping work in the district.
On historical and architectural monuments of the Sabail District, Asgarov noted that Maiden Tower – one of the world`s rare samples of architecture - is a symbol of the Sabail district.
In his turn, Ontsanu praised close relations between the two countries. He expressed his pleasure to be honorary citizen of Sabail District. “Reciprocal visits by the heads of the two states contribute to deepening bilateral ties”, he added.
The guests were presented with keepsakes following the meeting.
