UAE Medical team arrives in Eritrea

Asmara - The Emirates World Mobile Humanitarian Hospital has arrived in Eritrea to provide medical services to needy children and elderly locals in the Horn of Africa country.
The Hospital which operates under the supervision of Emirates World Medical Team in partnership with the UAE's Red Crescent Authority (RCA), Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and in collaboration with health ministries of African countries, moved to Eritrea upon orders from H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of RCA.
Executive Director of Emirates Mobile Hospital, Dr Adel Al Shamri said doctors from the UAE, France, UK and Canada are on the team. The 25-bed hospital includes an emergency room, surgical ward, intensive care units, a pharmacy, labs, x-ray section and a power generation unit. Coordinating with the Eritrean Ministry of Health, the hospital will start providing services to local patients within few days.- Emirates News Agency, WAM
