Indo-Pak talks are encouraging: Mullen

Washington, Aug 5 (PTI) Terming the recent talks between
India and Pakistan as encouraging, a top US official has
expressed hope that the discussions will continue.
"I am actually encouraged very specifically with the
discussions between Pakistan and India in recent weeks and
months," Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff said at a news conference here.
Mullen was referring to recent talks held between the
foreign ministers of India and Pakistan in New Delhi on July
27.
"At least if I understand both governments, those are
going to continue, and I hope that they do. I consider that to
be a very positive step," Mullen said.
