Abu Dhabi, Aug 14, 2011 (WAM) - A ten-strong group of volunteer doctors and medical staff with the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital arrived in Eritrea to start helping thousands of underprivileged children and elderly people in the Horn of Africa country.
This raises to 30 the number of the UAE medical team operating in Eritrea where the operation is being coordinated by UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), Zayed Bin Sultan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, other agencies and Eritrean governmental and private institutions . The 25-bed mobile hospital provides full medical service to patients and works as standalone unit with equipment for surgeries, first aid and medical emergencies, pharmacy, power generator and a lab. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
