The final race of the President of the UAE Cup Series 2011 to flag off today in Moscow

Sept 4, 2011 (WAM) - Moscow - The eighth and the final race in the President of the UAE Cup Series 2011 will be flagged off at the Moscow Hippodrome in Russia on Sunday. The original Arabian purebred classic series is held upon the instructions of President of UAE His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with support from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The event is organised by the Emirates Equestrian Federation in association with the Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), the Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi (OBAD) and the General Women's Union (GWU). The series, with the aim of building awareness about the purebred Arabian horses on a global level, is followed-up by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Emirates Equestrian Federation.
The 2011 calendar had opened with the debut race at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club earlier in February. Apart from the Curragh (Ireland), Newmarket Racecourses and Ascot (UK) and the Grand Prix de St-Cloud (France) two new locations, Baden- Baden (Germany) and Kentucky (USA) were added in the series this year. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
