Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Est. dispatches two relief planes to Horn of Africa

Dubai, Sept 8, 2011 (WAM) - The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment has decided to send two relief planes, carrying relief materials to Horn Africa, which is hit by severe drought and famine. The first plane left the Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, while the second will leave on Thursday.
The move follows the directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to dispatch urgent relief aid to those affected by the drought and famine in Somalia and the Horn of Africa region.
Ibrahim Bu Melha, who will lead the Establishment's delegation in the second plane tomorrow to Ethiopia, said the campaign themed: "Aeenouhum", support them in English, comes in line with the efforts of the Establishment to assist the affected people in the Horn of Africa. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
