We are looking forward to world class education, says Minister of Education
Abu Dhabi, Sept 11, 2011 (WAM) - Minister of Education Humaid Al Qattami has thanked the UAE leadership for its sustained efforts to upgrade the education to the world class level to keep pace with the progress being witnessed by the UAE.
The remark was made a day ahead of the beginning of academic year, which will commence today, Sunday with enrolment of 790, 836 students of different public and private school levels nationwide.
The minister pledged on behalf of the ministry's officials to exert utmost efforts to achieve the country's sustainable development objectives. He thanked all the officials for their efforts in previous academic year. Addressing the teaching, administrative and technical staff, guardians, and students on the beginning of the academic year, Al Qattami said "We want it to be a special school year that meets the endeavours of our leadership. The huge task on our shoulders is an honour for the sake of this dear country". - Emirates News Agency, WAM
