Ministry of Interior calls for child protection

Abu Dhabi, Sept 15, 2011 (WAM) - The Higher Committee for Child Protection at the Ministry of Interior called for child protection and boosting communication between the school and family, according to the statement issued by the committee on commencement of the academic year. Major General Nasser Lakhraibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Chairman of the Committee called for concerted efforts to protect students and ensure their safety, wishing good academic year for the education sector. He urged competent authorities to adopt professional, academic and training programmes to combat all forms of child abuse and mistreatment. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
