Maha govt to redevelop Dharavi soon
Mumbai, Sep 19 (PTI) The western Indian state Maharashtra
government said on Monday that the tenders for redevelopment
of a part of Dharavi, one of the largest slums in Asia, will
be issued soon.
"The tenders to redevelop Dharavi sector-5 will be issued
by Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority,"
Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said told reporters here
after a meeting with the housing department.
He said development of salt-pan lands near Mumbai will
have 51 per cent government-holding.
