WEBER SHANDWICK BRINGS SOCIAL MEDIA CRISIS TOOL TO ASIA PACIFIC
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- Weber Shandwick, a global public relations firm, on Thursday launched the Asia Pacific version of its award-winning social media crisis simulator, FireBell.
FireBell is a software application that simulates public relations crisis situations, including viral media attacks across multiple social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific digital head, Jon Wade, said in a statement that FireBell prepares clients to know how to react to an online crisis quickly and effectively, without the risk of a serious incident.
Weber Shandwick Malaysia managing director Rozani Jainudeen said: "We believe it is pertinent for brands and corporations to be familiar with the online eco-system and understand how to manage them in the event of an online crisis.
"We are excited with the launch of FireBell in the Asia Pacific, and look forward to sharing it with our Malaysian clientele."
FireBell has received a series of accolades in North America, including the 2011 "PR Innovation of the Year" award from PRWeek and the top award for "New Digital Service/Product/App" at the 2010 PR News Digital Awards.
