EMBASSIES JOIN HANDS TO SHOWCASE LATIN-FLAVOURED FILMS
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- Ten Latin American embassies based here are joining hands to present the 10th edition of the Latin American Film Festival from Oct 20 to 23.
Mexican ambassador Jorge Alberto Lozoya said the event would be the best platform to promote Latin culture to Malaysians.
"I believe that Malaysian audience will benefit from this festival as it will enable them to better understand the culture and diversity of these countries," he told a press conference here on Thursday.
A total of 12 films with English subtitles representing Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela will be screened at GSC Mid Valley and GSC Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur as well as GSC 1Utama in Petaling Jaya, Selangor state.
