PRINCE ANDREW CALLS ON MALAYSIAN PM

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, paid a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak at Seri Perdana, the PM's official residence, here on Monday. British High Commissioner to Malaysia Simon Featherstone accompanied him at the one-hour meeting where they also had breakfast. Prince Andrew arrived in Malaysia yesterday for a three-day visit in his capacity as Britain's special representative for international trade and investment. He is scheduled to meet senior government officials, including Bank Negara (Central Bank) Malaysia governor Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, as well the business community and attend several other events including opening the Newscastle University in Iskandar Malaysia, in southern state of Johor. He will have an audience with Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at 3pm on Monday at Istana Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur. His first visit to Malaysia was in 2001. -- BERNAMA
