Pakistani Researcher Hails Supreme Leader’s Remarks

Islamabad, Nov 12, IRNA – A Pakistani researcher on Friday hailed the statement of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that Iran would give a crushing response to any aggression. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a graduation ceremony of the Army cadets. Talking to IRNA, Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema, a professor at National Defence University (NDU), said that Supreme Leader gave a very appropriate statement. The analyst added that Iran’s Supreme Leader gave the statement in response to Israeli threats to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program. He was of the view that Israel has been influencing the US against Iran and they want Americans to develop a mechanism to stop the country's nuclear development. Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema said that any independent sovereign state can develop its peaceful nuclear program. “We live in an imperfect world where powerful gets away very easily,” regretted the researcher. “No country in the world wants destruction, you have to behave like a proper country and respect the rights of others,” he added. Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema said that the Supreme Leader gave an appropriate statement at a very right time. “They have to defend their country and Israel has no right to give threatening statements against Iran,' said the analyst. He said that aggression of Israel is very well known and they have been violating the rights of Palestinians under the behest of United States. “They cannot attack Iran’s nuclear installations without the blessing of United States,” viewed the intellectual. He added that the US behavior against Iran shows high headedness of a power but the system of the world is imperfect. Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema, expressing his views, asked the US to accept Iran’s rights and review its policy towards the country. Supreme Leader has also stressed that “the enemies, the US, its allies and the Zionist regime in particular, should take it into consideration that the Iranian nation is not to attack any country or nation but rather is to strongly react to any aggression or threat so that the aggressors and attackers would collapse from inside.” Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema, a professor, is also a scholar of international repute.
