Nahyan, University of Dublin sign agreement

Abu Dhabi, Nov 16, 2011 (WAM) - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) signed on yesterday during inauguration of festival of thinkers, an agreement with Professor Brian MacCraith, President of University of Dublin. According to the agreement, the two parties will explore future opportunities to organise the festival of thinkers in Europe. HCT will provide assistance to University of Dublin in all the organisational aspects of the festival. University of Dublin will play a role of regional organiser of the festival of thinkers proposed to be held in Ireland. Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of HCT, Chair of the conference, said the agreement reflects world standing of the festival of thinkers, stressing preparedness of HCT to provide assistance to University of Dublin to make the European copy of the event a success. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
