Qatar To Add Perth To Route Network

By Neville D'Cruz MELBOURNE, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Qatar Airways says it will add Perth to the fast-growing airline's network next year. Flights to the West Australian capital will be launched "over the next few months", Qatar Airways said in a statement on Thursday. Perth will be the carrier's second Australian destination, following its daily service to Melbourne which launched in December 2009. "Our mission has been to operate to key business and leisure destinations around the world, but also to underserved markets where others dare not venture into. "We take bold decisions to serve certain markets because we believe it makes strong business sense," chief executive Akbar Al Baker said. -- BERNAMA
