Foodies To Enjoy Asean Cuisine During Food Promotion

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen Tuesday launched the "Asean Heritage Food Trail" that will showcase unique flavours from around the region as well as Malaysia. The campaign is part of the Fabulous Food 1Malaysia (FF1M) food promotion which was first launched in 2009. The ministry has roped in Malaysia's Food Ambassador, Chef Wan, to generate interest for the Asean Food Trail event. "As part of the advertising and promotion campaign, Tourism Malaysia has collaborated with Chef Wan in a 13-episode television programme aired on Astro," she told reporters after launching the food promotion at a leading hotel in Seri Kembangan, near here Tuesday. The Asean Heritage Food Trail was preceded by the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival. It will be followed by the Street and Restaurant Food Festival. -- BERNAMA
