Linkedln Now Available In Malay Language

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- The world's largest professional networking site, LinkedIn, is now available in Malay language to better support the growing number of Malaysian professionals seeking to be more productive and successful. Inclusive of the new addition, current and prospective members now have 12 languages to choose from on the website. "Local language availability often precipitates a whole new generation of LinkedIn users locally, enhancing the experience for the entire community," said Cliff Rosenberg, managing director LinkedIn Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. He said the idea of adding Bahasa Malaysia to the list was about delivering values to professionals, and in doing so, there was a need to be local and relevant. "Nearly 700,000 professionals in Malaysia are already establishing their professional identities, building their network and gaining access to insights and opportunities on LinkedIn," Rosenburg told reporters at the Malay language launch here Wednesday. On selecting Malaysia, he said it was due to the high Internet penetration rate here judging from the more than 17.5 million Internet users in the country. As of November 3, LinkedIn had more than 135 million members worldwide from 200 countries. -- BERNAMA
